There are a basic list of supplies that should accompany your infant to day care each and every day. This list of basics is important to help keep your day running smoothly, so that you aren’t called away from your daily activities to bring items to the childcare provider.

Diapers. You should always make sure to pack eight to ten diapers for an eight hour stay for your infant.

Wipes. While wipes may be provided by your day care, it is a good idea to pack a few in your infant’s bag, especially if your baby has sensitive skin and needs a specific type of wipe.

Formula and bottles. Your infant day care may provide meals for older kids, but they typically do not provide formula or bottles. You may want to write your child’s name on their bottle, and note whether you need to pre-fill their bottles, or not. The rules will vary depending on your daycare centers.

A change of clothes. Infants are often messy, and may need one or more changes of clothes throughout the day. Choose items that are easily buttoned, such as one piece cotton outfits suited for the weather.

Any medications, along with a note from their doctor. Many childcare centers now require that any medications are accompanied by a note from the doctor. Make sure that you include the dropper that is to be used to administer the medications, as well.

Your specific child daycare centers may have specific items that are provided, as well as some limitations on what you can bring from home. By limiting the items sent, such as favorite toys, childcare centers are able to diffuse problems with sharing (which many under-one’s are not disposed toward), and to avoid lost items.

You may also want to consider the weather when packing your infant’s bag for the day. Even though they may not need mittens or a coat while at the daycare center, they will need it when you pick them up.

In most cases, your infant child care center will provide a list of the must-haves that your child needs to have each day. While you may find that you forget something once in a while, it is important to be prepared. You may find it simpler to pack your infant’s bag the night before, and prepare any bottles needed and storing them in the refrigerator overnight.

Baby massage provides many benefits both for the mother and baby alike. Since touch is the first language of babies, a mother gains improved awareness of the baby’s needs while greatly multiplying the bond between mother and baby. Researchers report that touch therapy triggers physiological changes that help infants and children grow and develop faster.

The art of baby or infant massage can bring about tremendous benefits like improved sleeping habits, better digestion and even improved growth. For example, studies have indicated that by carrying out massage for about three times a day over 10 days then babies had greater weight gain. In addition they were observed as being more active and alert. With all of the benefits you may sincerely be wondering about what is involved in the art of baby massage.

The time of the day when you carry out the massage is of important and, for example, the ‘witching hour’ is best avoided. Often babies have several times a day when they are engaging in a quiet activity. This means that they are awake and alert, but they are calm. Normally, this time occurs after the baby has been participating in more active play. When you want to use this time you need to ensure that you have the time to do it without feeling rushed or have interruptions.

Once the time for baby massage has been determined that you will want to make sure that both you and the baby are comfortable. You can either use the floor or the bed to sit on. You will want to place a soft towel down, and then you will place the baby onto the towel on their back. Make sure that the room is warm and there is some soothing music playing during the massage.

While you are doing the baby massage you will want to pay attention to the nonverbal signs that the baby gives you. As your baby cannot talk yet so it is essential that you watch for other signals. Babies are not interested in deep tissue massage so all strokes should be gentle and soothing. Newborns often only need a few minutes of baby massage whereas an older baby might enjoy a lengthier session. Be aware, that it is the quality of the baby massage that brings about the many benefits not the quantity of minutes spent on the massage.

To begin the massage then start by gently massaging the head. This ensures that your hands do not have any oil on them whilst they are massaging your baby’s face and head. You will want to make gentle circular movements on their head. Then you want to gingerly place your hands at the center of the forehead and move them toward the edges. Additionally, you will want to carry the circles around your baby’s jaw bone which can be really quite soothing for the child when they are teething.

Now that you are done with the baby’s heads you can place a couple of drops of massage oil into your hand so that you can warm them. Then you are going to want to move to the baby’s chest. Again, start in the middle and move outward. Move your way to the arms at this point. You will want to basically put your hands on each side of your baby’s arm and gently roll the muscle in between the hands. As you move down the arm you can go towards the hand gently manipulating each finger.

After that you are going to want to move back to the baby’s tummy for their baby massage. Here gently pull one hand after the other from right to left. Continue your downward direction and head towards the legs. You are going to use the same technique that you used on the baby’s arms for each leg. Once you get to the foot take some time to rub each foot individually.

The next step in baby massage is to flip your baby over so that you can get to work on their back. Gently brush your fingers on the baby’s back from one direction to the other horizontally. After you have done that you will want to adjust your stroking so that it goes vertically from the shoulders to the feet. Be sure that at all times you have at least one hand on your little one so that they are comfortable and sure that you are there. A lovely way to finish the massage is to give a nice cuddle (and kiss)!

The truth is that baby massage is not difficult. There are many courses and classes available and a web search should be able to locate a suitable teacher in your area if you feel that you would prefer formal instruction. It can be a wonderful opportunity for you to bond with your baby, and the benefits are just enormous. By taking that little bit of time you can ensure that your baby will be more active, sleep better, and even process their food better.

Every parent out there wants the most for their baby. Parents want their baby’s to have healthy glowing skin and that is why they choose skin care products that give promises. The sad truth is that many of the large baby skin care corporations of today are opting for the non-natural ingredients to save money on manufacturing. For this reason, it is important to do an adequate amount of research before selecting a product for your baby’s sensitive skin. Important to do the adequate amount of research before you put it on your baby’s sensitive skin.

Ever since the beginning of time, it has been recorded that people used natural products. Why does the baby industry continue to make these harmful non natural products that are filled with chemicals? For example with diapers, often times diapers made with non-natural chemicals can cause a bad diaper rash which can be very uncomfortable for the baby.

Why not use ingredients that are all natural to treat dry skin for babies? Well, you see, the answer to this question is as clear as daylight. Those products are cheaply made in bulk. Organic baby skin care products are not so cheap to make in bulk. Price is often a big factor for parents.
If you find that your newborn has baby skin eczema, consider using ingredients that are all natural to treat dry skin for babies. The best baby skin treatment comes by way of using the organic baby skin care products, usually found at a natural baby care company. Baby skin pimples is another common problem that can be treated with natural baby skin care products.

Even diapers can contribute to skin problems for your baby. For example, choosing the right all natural diaper for your baby can increase the chances of preventing rashes. The rash can cause the baby to be cranky and can cause the baby to lose sleep. Diaper rash cream can help calm the burning and heal skin within a few days.

When you choose a baby skin treatment that is all natural to use on your baby’s skin, you will find that it is far better for their skin. When you take the natural products and compare them to the modern products, you will not find as much fragrance added to the natural ones – but is the fragrance worth the harmful side effects caused to your baby in the long term? Most are unaware that the added fragrances in the modern skin care products are harmful for a baby’s skin. This is because those fragrances have typically been made out of chemical ingredients.

If you find yourself standing in the aisle debating over natural baby skin care products vs. non natural baby skin care products, then we hope you will choose natural baby skin care products as they really do offer a safer, healthier route. Natural products are something to look forward to as they will leave skin feeling smooth and less irritated. If your infant could speak right now, they would tell you just how good the natural side feels.

After all the months of preparation and the excitement of the birth, you’re back home and at last you’re a family. Now you can get down to the serious business of learning how to care for your child as he grows and develops from a small, vulnerable baby to a social, communicative one year old. It’s immensely rewarding, but there’s a lot to do and it’s a full time commitment from the start. Finding A Pattern

When you become a new parent, perhaps the most difficult thing to adjust to is the fluidity and unpredictability of your new life style. Most people’s lives have very distinct patterns, based on doing roughly the same things at roughly the same times, and they feel disoriented if this structure dissolves. Alternatively, you might be used to doing what you want exactly when you want to do it. Bur trying to impose this sort of order lines’s on a young baby is the equivalent of spitting into the wind. If you can both relax and follow your baby’s lead, a pattern of some sort will eventually emerge. Following Your Baby’s Lead

The mother of a baby is the most busy person on earth, when she is not very gathered about her daily routine vis-Ã -vis the baby.

Breast feeding

Everyday she has to bother about the baby’s feeding, sleeping, clothing, changing and bathing. It is the best to feed your own milk to the child. Please do not forget to give her the first milk of yours because that would contain colostrums, which is vital for the immune system of the child. Mother’s milk will always create the body resistance and the child will be a healthy one in future.

When you are breast feeding your child, the food that causes problems in your body may be communicated to the baby as well. Foods that cause gas or cold should be avoided or the baby will have uncomfortable state or congestion.

Bottle feeding

If you are bottle-feeding your baby for some reasons, then make sure that the bottles are well sterilized and clean. Scrub them with washing liquids. Boil them for 25 minutes to kill unwanted organism that may have developed in it due to the fermenting milk. Steam sterilizer and cold sterilizer methods are also there, about which one has to consult with an expert and should see to it that those are readily available in the market.

Baby sleeping

The materials needed to put the baby to sleep are a good, firm mattress, sheets and blankets. Keep one feet distance from the nostril range of the baby if you are lying along with your baby on the same bed. There should not be unnecessary clothing or clothes around the baby’s body and bed which may cause temperature rise and heating. The baby is not going to talk about it, and you should be sensitive enough to remove the body coverings as much as possible. There should be a mosquito net, or at least a netted covering around the baby to keep away the flies and the mosquitoes.

Clothing

Summer clothes should be light cotton ones. When the baby is taken out, make sure that his head does not get the direct sun. In winter, there may be sweaters, trousers and other woolens.

Changing

The baby’s diapers should be regularly changed. The intervals should be fixed according to the baby’s routine of potting and wetting. Despite the routine, the baby may need changing because of untimely nature calls at times. It is the baby’s right to feel dry at every moment. See to it that the bed is not wetted and the smelly clothes and bed sheets are removed.

Bathing

The baby needs a mouth washing with cotton. A bath tub large enough to hold it and is easy to wash should be made available. The baby should enjoy the water which can be assessed if leg splashing which is very distinct. The baby should be rubbed with baby oil and baby cream. The nail clippers should be used at bath time. After bath, the baby should be thoroughly dried and should be applied with a baby powder.

Immunisation

The baby should be immunized against Small Pox & Measles with BCG within 3 months of its age. The first DPT (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Psertussis, Polio, HIB, Meningitis C) is due within the first 2 months followed by the 2nd and the 3rd one at one month intervals. The MMR vaccination against Measles, Mumps and Rubella should be done within 1 years of age. The boosters should be taken after the baby is 4 years old.

Training and Education

Though regular training and teaching should not be started before the age of three years, the child’s habits and sense of discipline is cultivated through the discipline the mother maintains. When the mother is calm against odds like the baby fever, or baby dysentery while making sure of the treatments, the child gets the idea to be calm against disastrous times.

The most important babycare tip

The parents should find enough time to spend with the baby.
